Nick Palumbo, 4th District Savannah Alderman since 2019, had his early experience in law enforcement and as a Special Agent in the United States Foreign Service. After arriving in Savannah he worked with the Ardsley Park/Chatham Crescent Neighborhood Association to pioneer conservation efforts before he sought public office.

Elizabeth Kirkland Cahill is an author, civic volunteer, and preservationist. She began her career by authoring and producing Shakespeare productions in New York. Since returning to her hometown of Charleston she has served on the Preservation Society Board since 2010 and been Chair since 2015.

Both speakers have worked to preserve the charm and economic health of their cities while improving quality of life for residents.
